Dashboard management

To create a dashboard:

1. Sign in to your Realer account, then go to Home and open at the top right.
2. Select New dashboard.
3. Enter your dashboard name and a description.
4. Click Create dashboard.

Once you create your dashboard, you personalise it for example uploading a photo.

Create only dashboards that are useful for how you want to organize resources. There are limitations on the number of dashboards you can create.

To create a dashboard usage relationship:

1. Go to the dashboard page on Realer.
2. From the dashboard page, click on Utilize under the dashboard name.
3. Choose who can see your dashboard usage relationship. This does not change the dashboard’s privacy or grant access to its resources.
4. Click Create usage relationship.

Use only dashboards that are useful for how you want to organize resources. There are limitations on the number of dashboards you can use.

To create a relationship between a dashboard and a resource:

1. Make sure you have a usage relationship with both the dashboard and the resource that you want to connect.
2. Go to the dashboard page on Realer.
3. From the dashboard page, click on under the dashboard name and select Edit usage relationship.
4. From within the edit usage relationship box, search for the resource that you want to relate to the dashboard and click relate.
5. Choose the privacy setting for the relationship between the dashboard and the resource.
6. Click Create relationship.

Connect only resources that are useful on that dashboard. There are limitations on the number of dashboard relationships you can create. Connecting these items does not grant command access. A resource admin can share sensor readings or commands separately.

If you're the admin of the dashboard, you can edit it.

To edit a dashboard:

1. Go to the dashboard page on Realer.
2. From your dashboard page, click on under the dashboard name.
3. To change the name or description, click Edit in Basic information and edit the fields in the window that opens.
4. When you are finished, click Update dashboard in that window.

If you're the admin of the dashboard, you can share it to allow other people to use it on Realer.

To share a dashboard:

1. Go to the dashboard page on Realer.
2. From your dashboard page, click on under the dashboard name.
3. In the Privacy section, click Edit.
4. In the window that opens, choose the desired Accessibility.
5. When you are finished, click Update dashboard.

If you use the dashboard, you can choose the order of its resources in your Home view.

To sort resources for a dashboard:

1. Go to the dashboard page on Realer.
2. From the dashboard page, click on under the dashboard name and select Edit usage relationship.
3. In your usage relationship, select sort beside Relationshipable resources.
4. Drag beside a resource and release it in the desired position. Wait for confirmation that the order is saved. If it cannot be confirmed, reload the page using the displayed button before moving another resource.
5. When you are finished, click Done to return to your usage relationship.

If you're the admin of the dashboard, you can delete it. Deleting a dashboard is a permanent action that cannot be reversed.

To delete a dashboard:

1. Go to the dashboard page on Realer.
2. From your dashboard page, click on under the dashboard name.
3. On the edit page, open beside the page title and select Delete dashboard.
4. Confirm the deletion of the dashboard by clicking on Destroy dashboard.
